Lead UI Developer (Vue.js)

Our customer is a large American department store chain with operations worldwide. We are currently developing a web application for the company, which is organized into functional parts such as the Project Details Page and Navigation. The primary task for our new team is to address performance issues in key projects, including the Product Page, Search, and Browse functionalities.

The UI team consists of a team lead and a few developers. Our codebase is modularized, allowing JavaScript modules to be shared seamlessly between the frontend and backend components within a single repository.

We are seeking a Lead UI Developer who will be responsible for reviewing and merging MRs, leading the team, understanding all scenarios in which components are utilized across applications, and ensuring adherence to our strategic architectural vision. This individual should serve as a mentor to the developers and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the migration from Backbone/VanillaJS/JQuery to Vue.js.
Engage in design discussions and provide insights to enhance user experience.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address functionality questions.
Mentor other developers on the project and conduct code reviews.
Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
Stay updated on industry trends and foster a positive team environment.

Requirements:

6+ years of UI/Frontend experience using Javascript, Typescript
Strong Vue.js knowledge and practical experience at least 4 years
At least 1 year of experience as a Team Lead is mandatory
Verbal and written English level C1 (Advanced) and higher
Cloud experience (GCP, AWS) is a plus
