As a Senior Data Engineer, beyond meeting the technical qualifications, the engineer has initiative to complete implementation projects from end to end. You will support us in designing, building, and maintaining our data pipelines, with special focus on flexibility and scalability. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging data-related problems and to have a great impact on the organization.
Project description
This squad will be working as a unity and would follow a project-based approach. The goal of the Tribe is Orders assignments Process for the company's new brand items.
Tech stack: Python (Pandas), Airflow, AWS S3, AWS SQS, Kubernetes
Responsibilities:
  • Enable quick and accurate decision-making within the teams by facilitating discussions
  • Set and spreading best practices for Data Engineering across the organization
  • Provide solutions for complex business problems, enable insights that can empower better decision-making
  • Collaborate with our Senior Director of Product on strategic projects
  • Participate in the design and development of our product from requirements analysis to production;
  • Constantly improve software quality (evaluate and incorporate new libraries, tools, and technologies);
  • Contribute on a daily basis and help with code reviews;
  • Write unit tests and improve the test coverage;
  • Improve the performance and efficiency of the current system;
  • Search for simple and robust solutions to complex tasks;
  • Assist with maintaining the production environment;
  • Work in an Agile methodology environment where innovation, teamwork, and creativity are the key to success.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Development, particulary, the ability to design, implement and deliver maintainable and high-quality code with Python
  • Extensive experience with Airflow, Pandas and SQL
  • Experience in working in a cloud environment (AWS, AWS S3)
  • Ability to deliver scalable production-ready solutions
  • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to design, build and maintain complex data services
  • Demonstrable past experience with Agile methodologies, with a strong focus on data-driven experimentation, lean thinking, and quick iterations
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate and higher
