Sr. Android Developer

Essential functions

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDKs, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
• Integrate RESTful services, push notifications, and multi-threaded experiences to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Build responsive, intuitive UI layouts, adhering to Android UI/UX design guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of new features.
• Utilize Git for version control and implement testing with tools such as JUnit, Mockk, and Robolectric.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing actively in sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and optimize app performance using Android Studio profiling tools.
• Conduct unit testing and implement continuous integration strategies for high-quality code delivery.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in Kotlin, and Android frameworks.
• Expert understanding of the Android SDK, including Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, Services, Push Notifications, and Location Services.
• Strong experience in multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, and performance optimization for Android apps.
• Experience with modern Android build strategies, including automated testing (unit and UI tests), continuous integration, and deployment.
• Familiarity with Android Studio profiling tools for performance improvements.
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Would be a plus

• Experience with eCommerce platforms.
• Experience with Android emulators for testing and deployment.
• Knowledge of localization and security practices for Android applications
