Solutions Architect
Join a transformative multi-year digital modernization program designed to enhance user experiences across various sales channels, including B2B customers, sales associates, and customer support. The project aims to overcome limitations of legacy architecture post-merger, building a flexible and scalable foundation for launching new business applications. This is a greenfield project, offering an opportunity to help a major client modernize their infrastructure from the ground up.
Client Overview
Our client is the largest distributor of wine and spirits in the United States, operating across 44 states and Washington, D.C. This well-established company is a leader in its industry and is now focusing on a significant digital transformation to maintain its competitive edge.
Essential functions
- Serve as a key technical leader, driving the engagement with offshore engineering teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Regularly communicate with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members, ensuring best practices in software development are followed.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions using a modern tech stack, including Java 17, Spring Boot 3.0.6, and GraphQL.
- Contribute to the modernization of the client’s infrastructure by implementing scalable and flexible architectures that support new business applications.
- Work closely with other teams, both onshore and offshore, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software components.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.0.6, Maven, and GraphQL.
- Experience with Netflix DGS 6.0.5, MS Azure, Docker, Ubuntu, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
- Significant experience in software development, with a strong understanding of modern software engineering practices.
- Previous experience working on infrastructure modernization projects or greenfield projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams, particularly in an offshore environment.
- Experience in driving engagement and communicating effectively with client SMEs.
- Experience in team or technical leadership roles is a plus.
- A strong understanding of scalable and flexible architectures suitable for large enterprises.
