Senior Java Software Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Java Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and integrating a new Search microservice and leading technical efforts across our global development team. If you have a passion for software engineering and technical leadership, we encourage you to apply.
Essential functions
- Develop and integrate a new Search microservice.
- Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs in the codebase.
- Provide technical leadership to the offshore development team based in Europe and India.
- Act as the main point of contact for the client for all technical aspects of the project.
- Collaborate with the software architect to design and improve solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java.
- Strong understanding and ability to effectively use design patterns and algorithms.
- Experience in performance optimization and profiling.
- Proven experience with legacy code migration, including analyzing legacy code, extracting, and re-designing algorithms.
- Experience in writing comprehensive unit tests.
- Ability to lead and guide other team members.
Would be a plus
- Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Cloud: Experience with Azure.
- Search Engineering: Experience in search engineering, especially with tools like Bloomreach or Constructor.
